Join Us for the 2026 Heart & Stroke Gala

We’re excited to announce that the next Heart & Stroke Gala presented by BC Lions will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the elegant Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver.

This unforgettable evening will once again bring together community leaders, philanthropists, and changemakers to raise critical funds for a cause that affects us all: women’s heart and brain health.

Heart disease and stroke are the leading causes of premature death for women in Canada—yet women are under-researched, under-diagnosed, and under-treated. Together, we’re changing that. Funds raised at the 2026 Gala will support life-saving research to close the gap in women’s health.

Let’s come together to create a future where every woman has the chance to live a long, healthy life.

Save the date—April 18, 2026. We can’t wait to see you there.

All proceeds from this event supported women's heart and brain health research.

Did you know that heart disease and stroke are the leading causes of premature death for women in Canada?

Women: risks & signs

It’s time to address the distinct risk factors women face, the less common types of heart conditions and strokes that impact women more than men, and the unique signs and symptoms they may encounter.

At Heart & Stroke, we envision a world where all women receive the care they need when it comes to their heart and brain health. Achieving this ambitious vision requires a massive collaborative effort, and we need your help! Visit heartandstroke.ca/women to learn about this important priority focus and how you can make a difference.

Together we are closing the research gap to save more women.
